Mahmood has worked in media for 16 years and brings in-depth knowledge across TV, radio, out-of-home, online display, online video, programmatic, paid search, SEO, analytics, measurement and optimization. His paid media expertise spans B2B to B2C, managing global initiatives to hyper-targeted campaigns. He has proven success activating and optimizing integrated digital campaigns that improve engagement, increase site visits and drive ROI. He is certified in Google (advanced search, advanced display, shopping, video, analytics, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DoubleClick Bid Manager, DoubleClick Search), BrightEdge (SEO), and The Trade Desk (Programmatic). He also brings social media buying expertise in Facebook and YouTube, along with advanced monitoring and analytics tools knowledge.

Mahmood is a member of IAB’s Exam Committee and has contributed to the development of IAB’s Digital Media Buying and Planning Certification Exam. He previously served as head of digital media for Periscope in Minneapolis.

Before joining Risdall in 2016, Brittany gained experience at two other Minneapolis-based agencies – Broadhead and Padilla.

As a former journalist and magazine editor, she is an expert writer and researcher, using an eye for detail and natural curiosity to delve into topics and find new storytelling opportunities. Whether it’s a new product, service or business achievement, she studies the market and media to help messages reach their intended audiences. Maggie works with clients to create relevant, strategic content and messaging, in long and short form, for digital and print.

Kristen Nottingham

Kristen has been crafting and executing paid search strategy since 2001 (before AdWords existed). She was the sole provider of paid search services for the Minnesota Timberwolves for three years, during which time per-game attendance rose 15 percent. Kristen also worked with an international network of paid search experts and was ranked in the top 20 percent for conversion goal achievement and professionalism. Kristen has a design degree from MCAD. She is certified with Google AdWords and is specialized in search, display and mobile advertising.

Jim Sandstrom

Over the course of Jim’s career he has managed large teams and agency media billings in excess of $60 million. His career spans media leadership roles at local agencies including Martin Williams, BBDO and Fallon.  He also headed up the in-house direct response media operation for NordicTrack. After leaving NordicTrack, Jim created a successful independent media planning/buying operation before joining Risdall.

Erik built his first webpage in 1995 while studying at Winona State University and hasn’t looked back since. An expert in content management systems, custom application development and mobile solutions, Erik has worked on some of Risdall’s largest interactive projects. His ability to manage projects of any size, organize and lead development teams, makes him a go-to resource. Erik’s client work includes Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Archway, Harley-Davidson, Interstate Trucking, Minnesota Hospitals Association, Best Buy and Spanlink Communications. He earned a degree in e-commerce from Brown College.

When it comes to web development, Nikki is a problem-solver who uses critical thinking skills to improve user experience and develop intuitive websites and applications. She has worked extensively with Vision-Ease Lens, developing sub-sites and creating improved aesthetics and functionality for the company. Nikki joined Risdall in 2012, and has an associate degree in software programming from Brown College.

Gabe is an expert at WordPress, having developed and deployed many sites. He is also part of an advanced WordPress user group providing regular presentations and updates on the platform.

Gabe  is an excellent presenter and trainer, helping clients’ internal staff grow in their roles and stay current on their use of the WordPress platform. He has developed websites in numerous front-end and back-end languages in addition to mobile development. Gabe is also an avid researcher of and experimenter with new libraries, services and technologies, and he drives a lot of our testing and selection processes for these emerging platforms.

Tina’s ability to understand complex information and distill it into clear, compelling communications is the foundation of her success with clients like Baxter Healthcare, Fairview Pharmacy Services, Healthways, Hospira, Optum and VisionEase. Tina holds a B.A. in English and journalism, and an M.A. in English, from the University of Minnesota. In 2018, she expects to complete her M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Hamline University. Her skill with language doesn’t end with English — Tina has a working knowledge of French and Estonian.

Shelly Hauge

Shelly has 25 years in public accounting. She began her career at 3M Company, and went on to join the family’s construction and real estate business. Several years later joined public accounting as tax manager at a large international accounting firm. Prior to joining Risdall she worked at Barrie D’Rozario Murphy (now BD”D), Where she was responsible for management of the finance department, all financial reporting to clients and owners, and the systems and processes surrounding client project management.

An expert in helping clients maximize their visibility online through organic search, paid search and other strategies, Jennifer has been instrumental in helping Risdall keep up with the leading edge of new media and bring its advantages to clients. In addition to starting the agency’s search marketing practice, she has supervised accounts in the high-tech, telecom, and non-profit areas. Originally from Texas, Jennifer has an undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, and she holds an M.B.A. with an international focus on the European market from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, ASU, in Glendale, Ariz. She has a working knowledge of Spanish, French and Latin.

Ted led Risdall’s expansion into high technology. While most people thought the Internet was about bulletin boards and chat rooms, Ted was proving that the web was to be an effective new vehicle for advertising and marketing for both B2B and B2C markets. His commitment to technology and talent firmly established Risdall Interactive as a major player on the national scene, where the agency is consistently ranked in the Top 50 Interactive Agencies in the country. With well over a thousand websites under its belt, Risdall integrates top design with functionality in cost-effective implementations. Ted joined the agency in 1993 with a master’s degree from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).

As Risdall’s creative director, he leads teams in providing clients with an empathetic, consumer-centered approach to design and communications.

Daniele brings unique expertise gathering research feedback in early-stage brand work to focus and confirm brand needs. His has significant experience across branding initiatives, interactive media campaigns, digital experiences, corporate design identity projects and more.

Daniele has previously held senior creative positions at Olson, Azul Seven, and Schematic.

Dave Folkens

Dave applies his knowledge and strategic skills to help clients achieve their business goals. He is a strong advocate for brands and emphasizes the importance of leveraging new online tools such as social media, influencers and analytics in addition to traditional media relations to advance any communications program.

Dave also possesses a broad range of expertise, gained from his experience in the corporate, agency and non-profit realms. Over the last two decades, he’s worked with accounts such as BASF, Optum Collaborative Care, Medtronic, Midwest Dental and SAP Healthcare. He also served as communications director for the Minnesota AIDS Project.

Prior to joining Risdall, Dave worked at PadillaCRT and FleishmanHillard Minneapolis.

Since joining Risdall in 2001, Joel has helped build and lead a team of seasoned developers that are consistently producing effective and award-winning platforms. Over the years Joel has worked on projects for such household brands as Energizer, Columbia (TriStar) Pictures, Purina, 3M, Marshall Field’s (now Macy’s) and Par Aide. Joel holds a bachelor of science in automotive engineering technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
