Collins joins Risdall
New Brighton agency Risdall Advertising (RAA) bought point-of-purchase display firm Collins creative Consortium and hired veteran art director Len Mitsch as creative director.
The purchase of Collins formalizes a relationship that RAA had with the consortium, and establishes Collins' founder, Harry Collins, as vice president/account supervisor at RAA. (Terms of the deal were not disclosed.)
Collins specializes in designing and placing point-of-purchase displays at such retailers as Target, Kmart, Wal-Mart and Galyan's. His expertise adds to RAA's recent placements of home water filtration centers in Kmart and Wal-Mart, and boosts RAA's estimated 1999 client spending to more than $80 million, said RAA Chairman John Risdall.
Mitsch helped launch The Edison Group at Minneapolis agency Martin/Williams Advertising unit for nine years before leaving the company to freelance. At RAA, he'll be one of three creative directors under Kevin O'Callaghan, RAA's executive creative director.
