Background:
Kelly's had RAA in her blood since infancy. Daughter of Risdall art director Judy Becker, Kelly crawled down the halls. She currently lives in Coon Rapids with her husband Derek, son Taylor, daughter Kaitlyn and their dog Rusty. They are working towards a home in New Brighton eventually since Taylor attends school there.
Role at RAA:
Kelly began answering phones for the agency. Eventually she was the person that would have to use her talent prodding employees to turn in their timesheets. Not a pleasant job at times. She was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2004 when her predecessor, Joyce retired. Joyce gave Kelly the on-hands knowledge to step up to the plate and Kelly has made the transition smoothly. The name "Kelly" is heard often around the agency. She has the ability to solve problems or will go the extra mile to find out the answer. When at home the name "mom" is often heard.
Interests:
Kelly loves doing home improvement work and constantly has at least one or two projects going. She enjoys roller skating and playing poker with Derek's friends at their home every Friday night. She is very busy with Taylor and Kaitlyn but wouldn't have it any other way. When the Mapes Family have a free weekend they love to travel to Kelly's parents cabin in Wisconsin.
Goals for the Future:
To be an excellent parent! Kelly is also planning on attending college sometime in the future, but parenting and being a great mom is enough homework for the time being.
Little Known Fact about Kelly:
She and Derek were married on the day of their Senior Prom: first came the ceremony, then dinner and then they kicked up their heels at the dance. "It's one thing no one ever believes," Kelly says.
