Education:

  • Southern Illinois University; Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism
  • University of North Dakota; Master’s Degree in Mass Communication

Before Risdall:

Prior to adding her genius to the pot at Risdall McKinney, Eva was an Account Supervisor at Padilla Speer Beardsley. At Padilla Speer Beardsley she spent more than a decade helping a wide spectrum of clients communicate to critical stakeholder groups, build brands and strengthen reputations. Other experience came from working on state and local political campaigns, with grassroots organizations and a number of media channels in Minnesota.

What Do You Bring to the Party?

Eva comes to Risdall McKinney with a wealth of tactical and strategic communication experience and a proven track record of success and expertise in business-to-business marketing communications.

Proudest Moments:

Eva is hard pressed to pick a single moment that rises above the rest. In her personal life, Eva cites watching her two sons Douglass and James as her proudest moments. Professionally, a few of her proudest moments have been receiving her APR accreditation and gaining national recognition for her work.

Favorite Candy at RAA:

It depends on the time of day but if she had to pick one it would be Laffy Taffy.

No One Would Ever Guess:

Even though Eva has three diplomas on her wall, she has never worn a graduation cap and gown. When asked why, she simply replies “For me the fun is getting there. I’d rather celebrate the accomplishments along the way than save it up to the end.”

Hobbies/Activities:

When not building brands and reputations for her clients, Eva enjoys kayaking, gardening, family vacations and road trips.

The Big Deal:

As part of an ongoing account relationship, Eva was engaged to help Rockwell Automation develop a market leader position in the industrial services and support marketplace. Through a sustained program that continued to evolve over a five year period, Rockwell Automation went from a company that wasn’t known for services and support to one that is leading industry dialogue and delivering significant results for its customers.
