Client of the Month
Smith Foundry is a growing company in a shrinking industry. Blending traditional pouring methods with new technologies and processes, Smith creates durable metal components for manufacture.

Staying Power
Smith Foundry has retained a strong client base and continues to grow in a difficult business climate. Minnesota has experienced a 90% reduction — there are only 4 foundries now, compared to 44 foundries in 1972. Not by coincidence, that was the year that John Risdall opened his advertising agency and started working with Smith Foundry.

The Method
The more a customer sees a brand, the better chance that brand has of winning that customer. RAA has kept Smith Foundry's name in front of the right people for decades. Casting may sound old-fashioned to new engineers, so RAA has continuously updated the message and highlighted different capabilities with various single ads. A new tagline is in the roll-out process right now.

Multi-Faceted Marketing
Over the years, Smith Foundry has taken advantage of several of RAA's services including advertising, media placement, press release writing and media relations. Most recently, RAA created and got a product development story published in multiple industry magazines.
