Background:

Born in Davenport, Iowa, Sharon convinced her parents to move to Minneapolis at age 1-1/2, because the Twin Cities' advertising community showed much more promise. After graduating from college, she spent several years in Dallas. But she soon returned to Minneapolis.

Education:

B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, advertising emphasis

Work Experience:

Sharon has over ten years experience, having worked for agencies, such as Temerlin McClain (Bozell/Dallas), Colle & McVoy and Sietsema K°H. After wearing several advertising and marketing hats, she has found her true calling as a copywriter.

Hobbies and Interests:

Road trips, cooking, custom dressmaking. Latest home remodeling project: putting a six-foot aquarium in a wall between her dining and living rooms.

Passions:

Sharon freely admits to being a country music fan. She frequents C/W dance halls almost every weekend. When she's not out dancing, you may find her at an antique mall.

Weird-but-True Facts:

Sharon spent 1987 U of M homecoming week as a game-show hostess. Wheel of Fortune did not call with an offer, so she looked for work in the advertising industry. She once hired a travel agent to send her on vacation, giving him only a budget, five vacation days and some cursory guidelines on her interests. She ended up hiking the Costa Rican rain forest.
