Background:
Born and raised in Mounds View Minnesota. She lived in that same house for twenty-one years and just recently moved out on her own – to a town home in St. Paul with three other roommates.
Education:
Kari graduated from Irondale High School in 1998. She then attended Anoka Ramsey Community College where she received an Associate in Arts Degree. Currently, she's attending the University of Minnesota. And she's working two jobs to pay for it herself.
Proudest Moment:
Deciding to major in Nutrition is her most recent accomplishment!
Passions:
She took her Catholic upbringing to heart: “Treat other people as you would want to be treated,” her grade school principle used to say. And Kari strives to do just that.
Activities:
She was the co-captain of her senior high school fast-pitch softball team during a very difficult season. But she still enjoys playing "just about every sport and definitely being active." In the last few years, Kari's taken up running and working out daily. She also enjoys spending time with her loved ones – and shopping!
Family:
Kari's parents and her older brother Kevin are very much a positive part of her life - and since both her parents came from large families, she's got quite an extended circle (see below).
Quirky Fact:
She has not one but two cousins with her EXACT name: Kari Ann Jacobs. "Purely coincidental since we live so far apart."
